Welcome to the home page for the Rutgers-Camden
chapter of SIFE. Take a look at What's New in our web.
Also, feel free to visit the official SIFE
homepage.
What is SIFE?
"Founded in 1975, Students In Free
Enterprise (SIFE) has grown to become one of the largest university based
organizations in the world." SIFE is active in over 40 countries and
territories around the world, and there are more than 800 colleges and
universities enrolled in SIFE across the United States. "Working together
as a team…SIFE students apply their classroom experiences to develop and
implement educational outreach programs that educate individuals in their
communities about the principles of MARKET ECONOMICS, SUCCESS SKILLS,
ENTREPRENEURSHIP, FINANCIAL LITERACY and BUSINESS ETHICS." "The SIFE…competition
provides SIFE teams with the opportunity to compete against each other and
ultimately determine which team had the most impact improving the quality of
life and the standard of living for members of its community through educating
others about the five SIFE educational topics."
"The challenge of SIFE teams is
not only to inform, but also to empower- to help their targeted audiences reach
their full potential through a better understanding of the principles of free
enterprise. Individually, SIFE teams are improving the quality of life and
standard of living for members of their communities. Collectively, the focused
effort of hundreds of SIFE teams and the thousands of faculty, students, and
supporting community leaders driving these teams, has created a positive and
sweeping force for change that impacts the lives of millions and is literally
changing the world."
