If you are a Rutgers student and interested in working on an independent research project, please see me and/or send me email. I have funds to support student research projects in the broad area of computational geometry, with applications in computer graphics and medical imaging. For information on computational geometry and its myriad applications, see my research page. I expect most projects, typically, to be programming-intensive, but they could certainly be of a more theoretical nature if that is your interest. Research support for students
Now for some unsolicited advice: If you are an undergraduate student that is considering graduate school, I would strongly urge you to work on a research project with a faculty member. Undergraduate research experience is viewed very favorably by graduate schools. Even if you plan to work at a company upon graduation, independent project work will strengthen your technical credentials and enhance your resume.
