World Week April

World Week 2000

The Committee To Advance Our Common Purposes, since 1987, has worked to promote a climate throughout Rutgeres and the surrounding communities that is hospitable to diverse groups and cross-cultural alliances.  As a University-wide Committee, it brings together faculty, staff and students to represent the diverse areas ana concerns of the Rutgers community.  The members engage in addressing the significant issues of diversity as they pertain to student life, cirruculcum, campus climate, community partnerships, and many others.  Among those programs is the University-wide World Week Celebration, hosted by Camden, Newark and New Brunswick campuses including support from external sources and community based organizations.  The week-long Celebration promotes the vast representation of culture in ourr University and fosters the values of understanding our differences and similarities.  The World Week 2000 Celebration, with over 70 scheduled programs from Arpil 3-9, 2000 and over 90 sponsors, unites our campuses and communities in hopes of advancing our common purposes.
